SOCIAL COORDINATION IS A NEW VECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC SOCIAL WORK
Abstract
In the rapidly changing living conditions of modern society, faced with new global challenges (population aging, the Covid-19 pandemic), traditional mechanisms for providing social and medical care to the population are not effective enough. The potential risk group consists of older people, whose share is increasing in the population structure of megacities around the world. In this regard, there is an increasing interest in the search for innovative practices that ensure an improvement in the quality of life of the older generation. Based on the analysis of the experience of creating and implementing the project "Social service in medical organizations of the state healthcare system of the city of Moscow", some aspects of the formation and development of a new vector of domestic social work – social coordination (known in the countries of the Global West as social navigation) are considered. The goals and objectives are outlined, and the content of the social service functioning within the framework of an interdepartmental approach based on cooperation and cooperation with representatives of social protection and social service institutions is characterized. The conclusion is substantiated that the provision of comprehensive social and medical care to patients 65+ who are hospitalized (from admission to discharge) helps to improve their condition, adapt to living conditions in a medical organization and beyond.
