MODERN APPROACHES TO IMPROVING AGROTECHNOLOGIES IN POTATO BREEDING

Abstract

The article deals with the issues related to the improvement of agricultural technologies in potato growing. The object of the study is a typical region of central Russia-the Ivanovo region. The review of changes in the dynamics of the gross harvest and the area of potato planting in agricultural organizations is carried out, the main production trends and directions of further development of the industry are identified. A review of agricultural trends shows that it is possible to grow potatoes using different technologies, including with row spacing of 90 cm. The study of the problem revealed that in recent years in the Ivanovo region, the amount of manure and mineral fertilizers introduced into the soil has sharply decreased. This is due to a reduction in the number of livestock, poor technical equipment and the high cost of mineral fertilizers. To eliminate the problems of soil depletion in the cultivation of potatoes, the advantages of biologized technologies with the use of siderates as sources of organic fertilizers and a method of improving the soil are important. The use of the recommended wide-row technology is agrotechnologically and economically justified, as it allows you to reduce soil compaction, increase large-scale productivity and yield, and neutralize the influence of weather conditions. Effective and productive potato cultivation in the region is possible if all the requirements for agricultural technology, mineral nutrition and technical equipment of the processes are met.
