Abstract

The paper presents the results of solving the problem of reducing the multidimensional mathematical model of a chemical reactor, which is further used for synthesis of the control system for the temperature regime of the apparatus. The problem of the control systemsynthesis is due to the multidimensionality and nonlinearity of the original model, the lack of measurements of current substance concentrations. Overcoming these difficulties involves linearizing the model, reducing it, and synthesis ofthe control algorithm based on a lower-order state regulator. Theoretical justification is provided for various methods of reducing the full-size linearized reactor model. By modeling the process dynamics using models reduced in various ways, it is determined that the properties of the object are satisfactorily described by a model reduced using equations for concentration sensitivity coefficients to changes in reaction rate constants or using static equations for concentrations of the linearized model.
